Summary
This program will shed light on association health plans (AHPs) and how they can benefit organizations who offer them to their members as part of their affinity program. Mark will also dispel rumors and myths that surround AHPs and help organizations weigh the pros and cons of these programs when considering whether to invest in them for their members. As healthcare becomes a greater challenge for every business - including nonprofit organizations - the time is now to find out how we can best serve our members, staffs and organizations in this challenging arena.
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
• Identify common myths about Association Health Plans (AHPs)
• Learn the Member Magnet in AHPs
• Understand the difference between multiple employer plans and the small group plans
• Know the steps necessary to begin offering plans to their association clients
• Learn the detail of the DOL Final Rules for Association Health Plans
